Over the past year, me and my team have been examining "How do youth see God?" Alarmingly most "church kids" have a difficult time embracing the God of relationship over the God of religious tradition. Most of our guys have been in church for their entire childhood and early teen years, yet very few of them have a life-changing experience with God. They say it is due to the fact they see what goes on in church as well as in their homes, and for some reason there is an enormous divide in what is taught and what is applied.
Over the next few weeks i will be teaching on the theme "Retro Christian". What does is mean to be a Christian and how does that look. I will be sharing out of Revelations 2:5 "do what you did at first..." I will be exploring what are the practices that kept the fire going in the early church and what will keep it going in our lives.

This is my brother-in-law Michael who has been featured in the Daily News for his work at Bishop Ford HS. He has turned around their Baseball Team from an average HS team to a top contender in NYC. Please keep him, his family, and the team in your prayers. He is a great man who has a great heart for kids.
